These Terms of Use govern your use of handymanric.com and the home repair services provided by [Legal business name] (“HandymanRic,” “we,” “us”). By using the site or booking a service, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. Our services
We provide general handyman repairs, installations and maintenance in South Florida. We do not perform work that legally requires a licensed electrician, plumber, or general or specialty contractor unless properly licensed for it; such work may be referred to a licensed partner, who is responsible for their own work.
2. Quotes and pricing
Prices and estimates on this site, including the estimate tool, are starting rates for labor on standard jobs and are not binding offers. Your final price is confirmed in a written quote before work begins. Materials, parts and disposal are extra unless stated. If the job turns out to differ from what was described, we will explain any change and get your approval before continuing.
3. Booking, cancellations and access
- Please cancel or reschedule at least [24] hours before your arrival window; late cancellations may incur a fee of [$50].
- You are responsible for giving safe access to the work area, clearing it of valuables and fragile items, and arranging any building approvals or certificates of insurance.
- An adult (18+) must be present for the visit unless agreed otherwise in writing.
4. Payment
Payment is due when the work is complete. We accept the payment methods listed at booking. Unpaid balances may incur reasonable collection costs as permitted by law.
5. Workmanship guarantee
We guarantee our workmanship for one (1) year from completion. If a defect in our work appears in that time, contact us and we will repair it at no labor charge. The guarantee does not cover materials supplied by you, manufacturer defects, normal wear, misuse, accidents, weather events, or work altered by others.
6. Customer-supplied materials and existing conditions
We are not responsible for the quality or fit of items you supply, or for pre-existing conditions we uncover, such as hidden water damage, mold, faulty wiring or weak walls. We will tell you what we find and how you might proceed.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Florida law.
8. Using this website
You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, or submit false or unlawful information. Site content, including text, photos and logos, belongs to HandymanRic and may not be copied without permission. The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
9. Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this site. If you have difficulty with any part of it, contact us and we will provide the information or service in another way.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. We will try to resolve any concern informally first; please contact us before starting any formal proceeding.
